French-speaking Switzerland is full of all kinds of suspension bridges: 14 of them are over 30 meters long.
Mostly located in Valais, these constructions are fairly recent, dating back to 2010. Generally, they are easily reachable on foot and accessible to all age groups. 1. Niouc Bridge- Val d'Anniviers

Located in the Val d'Anniviers, this is one of the highest suspension bridges in Europe. Often nicknamed the “spider bridge” because of its metal structure, it connects both sides of the valley. For 5 francs, you can enjoy a dizzying 190-meter drop beneath your feet.
2. Peak Walk - Glacier 3000 (Diablerets)

Located on Glacier 3000, the Peak Walk by Tissot links the lower and upper peaks. Over 107 meters long and 80 centimeters wide, the bridge offers a breathtaking view of Switzerland's most beautiful peaks, including the Matterhorn and the Eiger. Pro tip: visit at sunrise or sunset.
3.Torrent-Neuf Bisse Suspension Bridge

Built between 1430 and 1448, the Torrent-Neuf bisse channels water from the Morge to the orchards of Savièse and Sion. Clinging to the cliffs of the Prabé, this bridge offers thrilling views under the Valais sun.
4. Tzina de Vio Bridge – Zinal

Situated at over 2,600 meters altitude, the Tzina de Vio bridge spans the torrent of the same name from a height of over 120 meters. Built in 2016, it makes the Mountet Hut accessible. Unforgettable views guaranteed.
5. Furi Suspension Bridge

Located in the Gorner Gorge in Zermatt, the Furi bridge hangs 90 meters above the Gornera River and stretches over 100 meters long. Reachable after a one-hour walk along glacier-themed educational paths.

6. Conches Bridge - Ernen

At 280 meters long, Conches is one of the longest suspension bridges in Valais. It spans the Lama Gorge and the Rhône from a height of 92 meters and is open year-round. Hike from Fürgangen to reach the village of Mühlebach.
7. bhoutanais Bridge - Leuk

Nicknamed the Grand Canyon of Valais, Illgraben is a geological site where the Illbach flows near the village of Susten, east of Sierre. This 134-meter-long Bhutanese-style bridge connects Lower and Upper Valais. The prayer flags symbolize the connection between mountain regions around the world—transporting you to Tibet while keeping your feet in Valais.
8. Ro Bisse Bridge – Crans-Montana

Perched 70 meters high and over 120 meters long, this bridge lies along the path of the Ro Bisse, part of the Tseuzier dam area in Crans-Montana. If you’re afraid of heights, you may want to skip this one.
